His body is never found and he is BELIEVED to be dead but the side stories that continue, shows that he isn't. He has amnesia but silently stalks Penelope finding her familiar. After chatting about his strong desire to kill her, he decides not to and leaves her for good to be a mercenary.

he will die protecting Penelope from a dragon near the end, even after Penelope left him and rejected him countless times, he still wanted her. It was so heartbreaking, I wish I never read it.
And yes, many people say that Eclise betrayed her but it was because he thought that her family didn't care about her well-being. He wanted to run away with her. I do think Penelope could've saved him, it's just too bad that Penelope spoiled him so much that he didn't think that she would reject him.
What's even more hurtful is that, personally, I think Eclise did love Penelope, he didn't feel that he was good enough for her, he even made a flower crown for her(it was made with her favorite flower), I think, and he saw Penelope with Callisto, after that he shut himself in his quarters, Penelope visits him and she saw the flower already wilted, and he cried. Eclise cried, guys!!
Maybe it was at that time that he realized Penelope doesn't really love him and that they were just using each other, it's just that he fell for her is the thing.

At least, the author could have put this in another way, idk maybe he just being her knight would be good. Out of EVERYONE to happen something BAD they did to the slave that was harassed, beat up, and used as SLAVE????? The side story is WORSE, he has amnesia, and decide to be a mercenary? I feel uncomfortable with the seme. Pretty sure I'm not alone on that one. I think he's kinda sus cause it feels like he's the type to make their partner too dependent on them to the point that it'll be hard for them to live without him, or make them feel in debt in a way and that's a liiiiittle bit manipulative. His friend mentioned that his partners are always the one who breaks off, and I think that shows how burdensome or overbearing he can be. Idk. If you look at his character at face value, then yeah, he's really nice. Giving the uke the support he needs and not exactly asking for something big in return, but if you think about it, that's kinda burdensome for the person receiving. So yeah. Tho it's unclear yet what his true motives are or if he has a clear conscience, so I can't say for sure, but that's the vibe I got from him.

If you just read the plot or synopsis, I'd say this had potential, I even clicked on it because I like these troupes, but the characters suck. The Seme is an asshole, he's so manipulative. Using money to buy the Uke and even guilt-tripping him (even lied about their relationship, painting the uke in a bad light). Yeah, he acts "sweet" but that doesn't make up for his manipulative asshole attitude. Maybe the story is a hit or miss, idk. It's definitely a miss for me. Even the entire story is boring and cliche. The pacing of it is weird too. Also, I just don't see any reason how the Uke could've fallen for him when his character is so shitty. I only finished reading it so I can be 100% sure that it's not a good story. Lmao.
Honestly, wouldn't mind rooting for Uno, he clearly loves Shihyeon as much as Hajun does, not to mention he can actually help Shihyeon in many ways. Plus, it's less complicated with him. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I don't mind if Shihyeon chooses Hajun tho. And since 2nd male lead rarely wins, I'm not expecting Uno to win either. Especially since (just like every other Korean story) Shihyeon and Hajun have some childhood connection and one of them doesn't have the memory.
