Omg, actually I didn't like it, but I couldn't stop reading it. It was intense.
It doesn't sit right on me the fact that he has to involve Lucas bother in their fight.
I mean, it's not like he wants to, but more like it's impossible to avoid. What do you want him to do? Cower and let Lucas bully him and do nothing just because Lucas brother is a lance and involving him is wrong? That's literally the only other option because if he fights Lucas back then his brother isn't just going to sit still. If anything, Lucas's brother Bairon is the one who involved himself (coming from a novel reader).
I haven’t read the novel but THIS is some truth!! What person is gonna sit back and watch their family fight someone that could possibly kill them.
