actually, that brings up a question. it was never specified on the effects of the gender within the family? maybe when you're family, pheromones don't affect you? that'd be a nice new theme for the omegaverse genre - something more family/sibling based. ok of course please no incest rape

well, it depends on how the author wants to lead how 'their' omegaverse story would go.
but so far, despite family.. the pheromones are still gonna be there.

From what I read it depends on the story. Some stories have the pheromones have incest and any alpha is affected by omegas. Other stories have it where siblings Pheromones don't affect their siblings/parents. I think it is the whole idea of family not being attracted to each other. And the last one I saw addressing this issue mentioned it's hard to raise an alpha and an Omega together because they can be affected by the pheromones but it hints that it's not as strong for the siblings.

Yuka just assumed he was an omega. I don't think it's been stated what Kaoru is. I think he's an alpha though

Somebody said to me that both male is Omega, he/she probably read the raw. But its hard to believe Kaoru is an Omega, when he act like an aroused Alpha whenever Yuka is around lol.

Well, see, I am a little confused. He acts like he is in heat whenever Yuka is around, and he has to take medicine. That makes me think "omega". But Yuka starts getting his heat whenever Kaoru is around...and that is more like a reaction to one's fated match. So maybe Kaoru is some sort of super sensitive alpha that has to also take medication to calm down because the hormones in the school are really affecting him.
Or.....this one could be really going against the grain and they could both be omegas but somehow still each other's fated pair...and setting each other off in their heat whenever they are near.
I mean it is already off that they don't "test" them until they are in junior high (as I recall, puberty can start hitting some people before they even reach their teens...so waiting so long to test them seems a bit dangerous). It is also funny how everyone acts normal until after their test. And then suddenly they start developing the traits for their "gender" within days of the test. Whew...they got tested just in time (insert sarcasm here).

Really?!? Then I recommend reading Mayonaka no Oyatsu where the adorable, little boy grows up to become a sexy, steamy seme! Even though it only has 4 chapters it has a good plot and I LOVE the characters, espicially the mom...you'll see why (≧∀≦)
