Tbh I think it's only frustrating because of the constant focus on who's gonna be with who. Which I kinda see no point in doing when we won't know for a while lol and only the author knows. Unless it's subjected to change. The story is so much more than that. Rather than focusing on the smallest detail and creating a generalized idea off that and running with it. In the process missing the whole picture created by the small details. When we minimize and limit ourselves to one perspective,we reduce our capability to understand on a deeper level. These characters have a complexity that shouldn't be reduced to dichotomous thinking (black and white).it's so interesting to see how their different environments affects them and how they influence each other.
Which brings me to my next rant. I haven't seen anyone talk about the fact shit is literally about to go down. It's been eating away at me. People are out for TJ's head ( they already were but its worse now). That one dude who's name I can't remember is out for Ian. Cause Jo's annoying ass cousin, Chris, went telling cause he saw Jo and Ian talking , involving Jo cause his dumbass had to name drop him and claim him as his cousin. Considering he now has to bring Ian to that guy which I feel like he'd use Jo for or something. I am scared for the things that are about to go down.

The longer you know someome does not always equate to the strength of the relationship. The fact that Ian has said TJ is all he has, is sooo bad. its not romantic and heartwarming. it implies he needs him, and we will never know if the relationship is out of need or want.

jo should be endgame tbh… i reread this entire webtoon because the amount of people belittling ian and jo’s connection had me feeling crazy. while i understand why there’s fans for tj and ian it’s also very easy to define their relationship as something codependent, unstable, and unhealthy in the long run. i don’t think yall remember in the beginning how it was hinted tj used to harm others, and even ian himself, because of his possessiveness and fear of being left behind. he then tied ian down by forcing him to pay an outrageous debt to keep him in the gangs clutches longer. yet i saw so many people only call out jo for saying he wanted them to have exclusive sex this chapter and calling it toxic, while completely ignoring him/tj’s long winded history of one-sided violence
with tj, ian is haunted by the past and becomes a shell of a person that’s not even himself. tj has no plans to leave the gang, and this environment turns ian into a ruthless and unfeeling machine… almost like nothing. their sex is honest and passionate because he’s not fucking for love. to him it’s an act of raw desire that distracts them from the problems they share and never wanting to open up (as ian admits). together they perpetuate a cycle of constant push and pull, where one person is always at the extreme
with jo, ian is able to take a fresh breath and feel like there’s a life that’s exists far beyond what he’s been shown. ian becomes SO curious and has endless first times when it comes to fulfilling things. it’s like his inner child is being healed, and he’s able to be young and carefree. he unknowingly lets his guard down, and is comforted by how alike they are (how they say or think the same things at the same time). jo opens up ian’s world instead of shutting him away
all this to say, i feel like the sex scenes blind tj and ian shippers + fans believe utter devotion = tj is owed love from ian, even that very devotion is harmful or manipulative. and jo doesn’t deserve as much hate as people give him

I might get disliked for saying this but oh well. Yes it is a mafia x spy story. Of course there's gonna be violence, action, crime, etc. The things you'd expect from those types of stories. Which there seems to be confusion that I've seen with people coming after others for that reason. Saying oh it's a mafia x spy story it's not gonna be some rainbow farting unicorn fairytale. The point that was brought up was rape. In which the rape was being justified because it is mafia. Which makes sense since rape and sex are used as plot devices. But not when it involves romance between the pairing/couple. Rape isn't an element of romance nor should it be used in that way. That's just psychological horror imo.
