I just started but damn she is a horrible mother and person also neglect is not something easy to forgive. She legit hated her child for existing when she gave birth to him he didnt ask to be born its still neglect

I think she had postpartum depression. It's a serious thing that happens and needs to be treated. Because they are in a time where women are treated lesser, they probably didn't know she was suffering from ppd. Even today people don't understand ppd very well and mistake a women not bonding with her child with abuse when it's actually a serious illness.
The child most definitely did not deserve this but the father should have done something. He should have been a better father. I think we're putting too much blame on her when it takes two to make a baby.
They should have helped her or done something not help her. Her symptoms and actions were not common or normal.
Sorry for the weird blurt of stuff

I think the reason she started to resent him was because he took all of her freedom away. She was 17 when she had that baby. She was still a whole teenager that had not developed into an adult. Let’s not forget she was still reeallly young. Also society had expected her to stay at home with her baby 25/8 and I think that really sort of messed her up. She had even stated in the story, though she resented him, she still cared for him and this was before she went back in time. I honestly understand where she’s coming from. In no way am I condoning her actions but I’m also not going to straight up hate her. The expectations on women especially in a society like that are just terrible and she suffered from that.

Did you finish the rest or did you read the first chapter then decide her entire character, coincidentally skipping over the part where it explained her behavior and depression? I'm not excusing her actions whatsoever. It's extremely hard to grow up neglected but its even harder to raise a kid while you have postpartum depression. It eats you up from the inside. You truly want to love your kid but you can't and you feel like a failure. Comparing yourself to the other mothers out there. I would never wish it on my worst enemies. Before you come to conclusions about her, maybe open you outlook a little bit. This manga is actually really well written

You can love your child and still have post partum depression. What she has is a serious mental illness. I think alot of factors played a role in making her look like the villian.
1) they don't go into the specifics of the ppd so if you aren't aware of it , all you see is a horrible mother
2) the time period is set in the past where children are put on the mother so the story made it out to seem like all her fault when in reality she should have had the father to lean on. The father also should have taken a more active role in the childcare
3) this is a korean manwha and koreans have a standard for women and when they deem to be a women's role in society. So not being able to take care of a child means you're a failure. So we are looking at her through the lens of korean society.

Thank you for saying all of this. I feel so bad that she had to experience all of this by herself and she didn’t even have her husband to lean on when it even came down to it. And the fact that the people who work inside the house had treated her like a complete stranger is terrible as well. Honestly she’s such a strong, smart, and talented woman.

I'm not saying that at all. What I am saying is that she has a serious mental illness that stopped her from being a good mother. I'm also saying is that we are treating her harshly when we forget that the father is non-existant and also abusive.
At the end of the day she hurt the child but she did not have that intention. If someone hallucinates a killer in their house and kills their family, does that mean they should be charged with murder? No! In their head they were doing self defence and had no intention of killing an innocent person. The mother here is mentally ill and NEEDS HELP. The father needs to take care of her and takeover the primary role of caregiver.

Wait so her brother abandoned her????

From what I’ve gotten from the story so far:
1.Bro was sent off to war again
2.He went to fight the tiger clan in the mountains
3.Him and his fellow soldiers are presumed dead
4.Because of this the pact bro made to prevent sister from being forced to have kids is said to be “broken”
5.Sis escaped & is now searching for bro
6.She finds out previous leader of tiger clan (a woman) was slain so tiger leader’s bro is now leader
7. Tiger clan is having some kind of wedding & so buying lots of cloth from village Sis staying at
8. At night Bro wanders into village to get tiger clan children that sneaked into cloth village
Is he a war prisoner? Was he a war prisoner up until the previous tiger clan leader was killed? Is he a house slave acting as a nursemaid or tutor for some kids?

Haha, well now that the other chapters are out and we have a few more tidbits of information, this is- until we gain more info— my newest conclusions.
Sis thought that the deal Bro struck (Go fight once more & than marry who we choose— which he agreed to on the grounds they would never force Sis into breeding or marriage) meant that he’d come back to the house they lived at & marry a human, BUT it was actually tiger boy that they betrothed him to..? Bro sorta goes like,” After marriage can’t write letter to you Sissy, cuz y’know, laws & cultural customs. And, y’know even though I’m the one regularly spouting about how fellow humans always betray us etc., I’m the one that easily believes these people (who I keep saying always turn their backs on us) would keep their end of the bargain.” He seemed to trust his soldiers in following his orders so at this point in time, wonder why he couldn’t have, I dunno before the marriage (or secretly after it if they were sent back home post wedding) given one of the few living soldiers a letter or SOMETHING for Sis.

So your telling me he legit saw his wife being strangled by the mother and sister and he did NOTHING TO THEM???!?!?!? NAH im out this is trash wttffff

I think doing nothing is thr best decision. Shows that he doesn't even feel they're existence is significant at all. Besides, he knows hurting those people would make Miyo sad because that's just how Miyo is as a person. If he WERE to do something, it would've been something smart like suing them so they lose power instead of just countering it with violence like killing them.

He does do something...it’s been a while since I read the novel but he’s not the type to give people short punishment rather he would makes their lives living hell but in that moment he saw his loved injured for him getting her out of there was more important than punishing them...doesn’t mean he didn’t punish them but not at that time!!
Yyyeeesss I love aloof fl!!!
