this is without a doubt one of, if not THE MOST, realistic (in the best possible way) manga I've ever come accross.
it doesn't even feel like a manga if that makes sense (?) , maybe because I've grown so used to the status quo of sexism in the japanese culture that is often displayed in almost all japanese media I have ever consumed wether it be manga/news/movies/tv shows
this is the first time I've scene them touch up on sexuality in such a way or carefully explain the layers of it in such a logical and gentle manner and if that wasn't already so beyond amazing they even bring on topics like healthy food relationships and the concept breaking free from your toxic family and asserting personal boundaries.
I kid you not I never thought I would ever see the day where I would read the word ASEXUAL in manga. I am beyond myself with happiness, respect and gratefulness to the author

maybe it's just me but it seems like 3/4 of the characters treat nene like crap or seem to not give a shit about what happens to her as long as they get what they're interested in even she was the one who helped them in the first place
but it feels the strongest with these 3 motherfuckers I just cannot like no matter how much I try
- TERU, kou's sadistic older brother literally only seems to intervene with her because of kou himself being involved (bro-con) he constantly looks down and treat nene like an idio with a smile on his cocky ass face
- AKANE (the guy) his entire personality is him being OBSESSED (Not in love, OBSESSED) with aoi and treats nene like a freaking doormat and I can bet you all my money had aoi asked him to kill nene he'd do it in a heart beat without giving a shit
- then theres AOI herself who might easily be the worst out of all of them and to be honest I have to hand it to nene she's a WAY bigger person than I would ever be
aoi takes the cake out of all of them because not only did she pretend to actually be friends and care for nene she legit didn't bat an eye at the chance to let nene fucking DIE....let that sink in, FREAKING MURDER and then we're just supposed to forgive because "whoa is me nobody likes me for me" YEAH NO SHIT DUDE THE REAL YOU IS CAPABLE OF ENDING ANOTHER HUMAN'S LIFE

personally I could never get over sumi telling karasuma that he was lucky someone could ever love him just cause he slept around. It would be one thing if karasuma was a useless and unqualified person that just slept around to keep his position but in reality it had been pointed out several times that he's an skilled and accomplished employee
but he soon realized just how bad and sneaky the work world he was entering was so he did what he thought he needed to do survive in that work enviroment as an omega when talent and hardwork wouldn't allow him to escape that label even if it was collaterally self destructive.
it's remarkably more bitchy since karasuma was never hostile towards sumi, helped him out and even recognize his talent as an employee but sumi just degrades him at any chance he gets (I'm not dismissing his trauma btw but still that's a coworker you're berating on the first meeting)
what pains me even more is how much karasuma also believes the same and doesn't fight him on it. He's so submissive and just plain at peace and content with his mate and healthier life choices that he just doesn't want sumi to get dragged in his past and then he's just met with such nasty words. I don't care if this is supposed to be the "better" story because the bottom wasn't a quote and quote "slut"

I haven't looked because the author found out about the translations being done illegially so they was stopped. I'm now reading it on webnovel, but also the books are available on kindle for around £3 if you're in the UK at least. Though the books are being split up by 40 chapters so all in total you're probably paying about the same amount as a regular book. Hope that helps.
