I'm afraid to even come out as one of the few people who don't hate emel because I can see the hoards of haters coming in but if anything I like my characters with some darkness in them putting that aside I don't understand the constant complainig about him being the ML ya'll know they're gonna end up together right? this is based on the novel, are ya'll just gonna keep on hating on it till the last chapter when the unavoidable happens??? if you're not enjoying it why not just drop this manga? like I just don't see the point on continuing to rant at the end of every. freaking. chapter.
and for the last freaking time they're age gap is not that large it's like 5 years, if ya'll can deal with a 2,000 yo fox, vampire, or demon dating a 16 yo in other then this is just peachy in my opinion
also the people who keep getting mad at stelle for still liking emel, clearly have never truly loved someone, it's hella hard to drop feeling for someone you've held dear for so long, even if they wrong you it can even make you hate yourself because you still like them it's called having a heart

I can only agree with you on everything tbh I can still the countless mentions on their age gap when it was confirmed at the start and I really shipped it from the beginning (naturally with the picture that she is already off age).
I might have probably missed on some webtoons that are like that but I found the couple of a princess and knight really nice and a change of what I've been reading.
So what I want to say is that I'm also one of the few who doesn't really have an issue with any of them and really ship them (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I agree on you everyone hating emel so much, but Estelle on the other hand turned completely 180 in terms of her personality, appearance and attitude. As an FL she portrayed first as a kind understanding , but also powerful woman. Almost perfect even since she had a family that wholeheartedly loves hee and is a royalty. And turning so hateful like that for a man that didn't reciprocate her feelings just disappoints fans. For me if her way of being straightforward was so overly dramatic, it's fine if she hate emel it's just her way of showing it to the people bothers us, so much that Estelle was becoming just a bitter woman.

I don't think people are doubting that they're going to end up together. The decision Emel made is just kind of annoying. From his POV it looks like he was thinking in that "I want to be good enough for her" way but he just left her thinking he didn't want to be with her or he wasn't accepting her feelings. He should have told her to wait or something and told her that he likes her, instead of leaving her confused/mad and then trying to get back on her good side.

yes I get it but the thing with emel is that realistically he makes some solid points, estelle was never really exposed to other guys aside from him and her brother and he prettty much watched her grow up, even if the age gap isn't that much he has a right to feel resposible for her as the older one
the most important factor is that the side of himself he ever showed estelle or more like the emel estelle grew up with isn't fully emel at all he himself knows that and carries a lot of self hatred, ever since she was little I remember this one chapter where he brought estelle a flower he found in the battlefield when she was younger and hand it to her and karl being a the sis con he is told him to stay back because and I quote "he smells like blood" and this clearly shook him a lot because it was most likely a reminder that he shouldn't step his boundary
emel had to go back to pretty much a high society battle field when he came back not only as a traitor to his family but also as someone who aided in the deaths of his own father and brother just to come back and take the heritage he originally abandoned in every outsider's eyes he's pretty much the devil, he crearly had a pretty good idea of how bloody and difficult getting into a good enough position would be that telling her to "wait" or that he liked her while still being under the impression that she's just imprinting on him, for something he didn't even know would work out fully would be insanely in irresposible
he's clearly conflicted and that makes him so human to me, he wants her to be aware of the real him (we still don't know his past before working for the castiellos), he's prepared for her to reject but he doesn't actually want that and it's understandable, but he clearly doesn't like himself, he views himself unworthy of her but that doesn't mean he doesn't yearn for her and I truly love emotionally complicated characters

YEEES, I have noticed that about her lately the thing is I've come to notice that the only times she's cried is when it involved emel in some way or another even when she regained feelings after being kidnapped by that psycho mage the rush of emotions that brought her back were evoked by emem himself so he's a significant emotional trigger for her
so now they're using the boy problem as a way to creat tension in the story but instead of it being addressed the mature way it's like she's acting more like a child than what she was when she was younger and I wanted to use the "she's just a teenager" card to atleast defend her a little but the girl fought a war, uses spirits and manages a county I expected less temper tantrums I guess, but then again that's also fine in a way since she's always been so composed surely there has to be times when she's allowed to emotionally unstable I just think that the "I don't give a fuck anymore" attitude is not the best way to go about it either

Well we can agree that her changes was way too sudden and too much. Still i wish there was much more deserving on Estelle than Emel seeing that since her childhood she suffered and been through a lot. I just wish that maybe Emel should have tell Estelle about his past maybe they wouldn't be in that situation and they can still communicate with each other comfortably.

she breaks my heart all the time because while she did go back in time this isn't the classic "I'm a boring full grown average korean women but then died and now I'm a book in a baby/child's body" this is a very young girl who lived a severly mentally and physically abusive life and an insanely horrible and painfully slow death after being imprisoned for years and she doesn't even have a lot of knowledge to be her strong point because all she knew is the little info in whatever books that psychopath decided to provide for her during that time, she was left with mental trauma so strong that it's pretty much disabled her ability to trust anyone or to even smile
even if she was 18 before it doesn't change the impact of how gut wrenching it is to hear such a young girl say "if I'm going to die again I rather it be fast and painless, I don't want to burn to death again"

i'm glad some people understands and didnt keep on compaining about why she is like this and not being mature and stuff... those kinda annoys me like ... did they read the story did they put themselves in her shoes and stuff to be judging about how weak she is ... like the keypoints were being point out by you so im not gonna add it lool

you know, usually authors will give twin characters a small distinctive feature no matter how identical they are so that recognizing them is ACTUALLY POSSIBLE like the way their hair is parted or giving one of them glasses or longer hair but I love how this person was just like "screw it, have fun trying to figure this one out" by making them LITERALLY FULLY THE SAME, like she could've ATLEAST put their moles in different sides of their faces but NOPE, I'm very much aware that's how identical twins are in rl life but for a dramatic story you really need to know which is which and who did what
I lit can't tell who's chung or hong anymore

Reading these comments I've realized it seems a lot of people here probably haven't read pendulum, it's basically the story of kai and ruard (the couple you saw in chapter 8, and you can see kai in chapter 5 the twins love him (≧∀≦) ) if you had read it you would have been able to guess the baby in the last frame it's theirs (yes, this is comfirmed, it's not me making assumptions)
"He didn't tell you, it is his fault" I love the supportive energy but my dude, it's not like he planed for the both of them to fall for each other later on I definitely don't think he thought of anything even remotely close to that happening with someone he saw as a child, also what was he supposed to act like in front of an 11 year old girl he was charged with babysitting??? a demon? a murderer??
also stelle, sweet heart I love you but engagement really? that's is beyond petty and kind of childish and on top of that you're now involving/using zeon for it
