I think it was pretty direct that that's what Eiser wants, especially that we can read his internal thoughts too. He's being considerate, proving in his own way that he loves Serena. However, Serena can't read his mind. She didn't want (or maybe can't?) to assume things. For her, it all sounds so vague. So she needs clear, direct answers. In her thought bubbles, it's even clear that she understands Eiser's sentiments as well. But during that moment, where almost everything is crumbling down (the divorce, the "secret" of her family, Frederick, etc), I think for a moment, she needed some assurance. She needed something that would at least keep her going, even if it meant that promise can be broken. At least for me, Serena's thoughts were "Yes it can be broken in the future. But at least you promising can mean that you tried to hold on to that promise, and I will accept if things changed." I really applaud her growth. I admire Eiser's love for Serena, too. But I think Serena will be more at ease if only he said everything on his mind, especially the part where he was like "I want her to be free/independent".

I'm with Soo Young here. I'd be mad too. If I did something wrong, I want my partner to tell me about it. Whether I made them feel uncomfortable, if I became inconsiderate, made them remember a fear/bad memory, anything. I'd honestly want to fight about it than avoid each other then letting it pass. If it's something that can be fixed & talked about, distancing & breaking up should neber be an option. I don't want my partner thinking that I'd be ok if we ended.

Oh now I get it. I didnt understand at first why sooyoung was mad when he was the one who was 'using' taesung to 'punish' himself. But now that u said that, i get it now.
Lol i think i didnt undersfand it first because im like taesung in a way that i avoid fights and confrontations and just letting it pass as if it didnt happen. Oof
What a let down
