I skipped the entire season 2 and now we’re finally getting to jaekyungs backstory. It’s been filler till now.
That’s part of his character- he had an unfiltered crass mouth. But so far he hasn’t forced MC and it’s clear the MC is surrounded by vultures worse than him. Ironically he’s more afraid of ML than them.
Him being mad about kneeling is because he’s not trying to subdue the MC- he’s trying to woo. It’s clear that in his line of work, his demeanor, and vulgarity it’s not working and he doesn’t have the awareness on how to be softer.
This does include a lot of dubcon- but you have to factor the environment and circumstances. The MC is a straight boy getting turned out- even by choice- will make consent murky period. I suggest tapping out for those who don’t like that.
Finally someone who gets it, it's a bit fucked up but it's realistic that you would not have a nice green flag ml whose a ganster. I mean he's surrounded by prostitution business of course his view on sex would be a bit fucked up

It’s clear that in his line of work, his demeanor, and vulgarity it’s not working and he doesn’t have the awareness on how to be softer." as someone who has read the novel, you nailed his entire character! hes not a classic green flag like the ones you'd see in a regular college setting bl, he has a rough personality and hes vulgar af but whats sure is that he genuinely loves the mc. the "charm" this story is trying to showcase imo is that the 40-year old leader of the most powerful gang in the city seriously and genuinely falls in love /for the first time in his life/. hes gonna be cringey and awkward and dumb and clumsy and over-the-top about it, he'd make a lot of mistakes bc he doesnt know when or how to be tender when hes never been tender with anyone his whole life. these are things he learns as he spends more time with the mc. and with the abuse and mistreatment that the mc has experienced with literally every person around him while growing up, it eventually just becomes clearer to him and the readers that theres no one else who truly loves him and cares for him like the ml does. it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea for sure and i dont blame them but it was a fun short ride for me!

You are right, but Smuts can be both smeXY & intriguing. Sure, it's enjoyable to watch sx stuff, especially special ones like tentacle sx, in the end personal preferences matter. Since this is yaoi, others expect something good as well.
