Luca is a reporter, not a detective. i like him, but i think Luca is a little too selfish to focus on Nicholas’ abuse and rape. he’s dedicated to furthering his career and writing his story, so he’s more interested in Nicholas’ relationship with Al.
this might change after spending more time together, but i think Luca is comfortable with letting him make his own decisions regarding his step-father… even though after suffering that abuse and neglect growing up, i don’t think that Nicholas is actually able to look at his situation objectively and he doesn’t have enough respect for his own bodily autonomy.
