the art improvement is amazing, especially if you look at older manga by the author, but the new art just looks like the characters were changed so they could be more easily drawn, takano looks like a generic ml design and I remember how I loved how detailed onodera’s eyelashes and his facial expressions before. now, every shot of their faces is so underwhelming, and even dispute the art improvement their body proportions look awkward at times. I love this manga so much, but if the plot keeps going no where and the art is getting tired, it should have ended sooner

we get it. the ML isn't responsible for the deaths of MC's parents. he IS responsible for acting like a dick at the beginning and not telling the MC the truth because of his guilt complex. it feels like emotional manipulation because it feels like ML wanted MC to fall for him without associating him with his parents deaths. yes the ML was a child and holds no responsibility, but the MC was a child when he lost his parents. yall are like "ohh but the ML is human so of course he feels bad", but then curse out the MC because he's not more understanding. the double-standard is crazy! the MC is allowed to not want to fall in love with someone who reminds him to his parents death and not want to be connected with someone who's father killed his parents. Instead of being able to protect his heart at the beginning by learning the truth, the guy he already fell for is now giving him EVEN MORE emotional trauma by springing it on him. it's the most fucking shitty timing I've ever seen! "you just finished falling in love with me? great! now I can tell you about how my dad tried to kill both of your parents!". me personally, I don't give a fuck abt your guilt complex if it's about MY parents, you talk to me on my terms.
