Those are not reasons but excuses. I feel bad for Jiwon because he has internalized homophobia and is still living in the closet. But you cannot force your partner to do that too, and that's exactly what he's doing. He wants Jungwoo but cannot fully commit, so he looks like he is playing with Jungwoo's feelings even if he doesn't mean it.
And those are exactly issues that Jiwon will have to face definitely. I just cant accept how much he's being cruxified in the comment sections when as u said and we as the reader all know he doesn't mean what he said. It really shows the almost emotionlessness of the Crown Prince so well. It starts off with a word from his younger brother himself that he will die soon. Dude's reaction to it was nothing. So when he got news of Doram's brother passing away Crown Prince really thought he would either just be emotionally stunted like he was about his younger bro or would be pleased as Doram did mention he'd just want to know if his younger brother is alive or not.
When he said you'd like the news then bam Doram actually was dismayed to what happened to his brother. The exact opposite to how Crown Prince reacted about his own younger brother. So much emotions that he never had was shown when he realized Doram's reaction. He knows he screwed the fucked up, confusion, maybe regret and dismay when Doram cried his heart out about his brother.
Honestly at first this manhwa wasn't really doing it for me. But damn the main reason why this story wasnt clicking for me at the start is the same reason why it's warming up to me now. Story progression really does make a story night and day. I mean the idea of some supernatural being knowing emotions through a significant other is a tail as old as time but damn does this shit work for me!
