I was curious about mc's name and we never got the chance to know his name, did we? i tried to read past chapter 1 and 2 again but I never got to see his name. ik it's been a long time since this manga was first uploaded in mangago ( I was here when this first got uploaded here) but yall i dont think im hallucinating
and so i was thinking that about the reason why his name was never shown was because he's just a mob like literally, but maybe whenever he starts to like someone and dated that person, that's when his name will appear in the manga. (ps i havent watched the drama ver so im just speculating/theorizing)

mc doesn't have a name yet. mc's brother is called Ayato, so i was hoping mc would be named Hayato or something similar, but there was already another character called Hayato in the manga (and it sounds too similar to Hatano) so that's unlikely. i think your idea of characters only getting names after being BL-ed is true!
also the drama isn't "canon", so don't worry about that. the manga is quite removed from the drama and has already gone quite different route than it.
