He's been asleep most of his life, but he still did his best to be who Wendy needed. No saying it was alright for him to irrevocably tie them together without her approval first, but she wasn't an amiable person to start with. Just because she is talented with high standards doesn't mean she's an easy or even pleasant person to be around. It's why her team was so low in standing, projects, and new recruits/volunteers before Aiden arrived. While Aiden definitely needs to work on his communication skills, Wendy seriously needs to do some self reflection too.

He always treats her like a girl. He's flirty, handsy when she permits it, and is always bringing her presents to impress her. He even refers to her as "she" and "her" in personal thoughts. He wouldn't be doing any of that if he believed she was a guy.

Naw just the last chapter confirmed it. She realized she had been undressed by the prince when she fainted, then assumed he didn’t figure it out somehow because she’s a dumba**. Cue next panel showing him all fluttery and ready to propose because he undressed her and duh figured it out. X-D

Pretty sure these kinds of tactics used to be normal for women back in the day. It's why women were diagnosed with "hysteria" so often. They didn't hold any power nor did they even have the ultimate say in what happened in their lives, so they'd go overboard to make whoever was trying to control them do what they wanted
