His father killed his mother so he could move the new queen into her position. His father is the one who pushed him aside for the younger prince. His father instigated all of it
The prince, the hidden daughter, the dead sister, and even the crippled knight. They are all being controlled and manipulated by scheming lowlife Royalty/Nobility. They are each being forced into choices they might not otherwise have made. The real Villains in this are her disgusting father and the Royals.
While it's wrong, at least she's going to be able to escape being the king's hidden sex slave. Sleeping with the prince is the only way for both of them to escape the trap that's been set for them from the beginning.
I think she will ask the Emperor to heal Sing. She set out to make herself 100% invaluable and irreplaceable to him first. Remember until her accident in the water he had never used his power once since ascending the throne
Droit or her hot red haired guild officer would have been sooo much better. Raymond should have learned his lesson but got to watch from afar. He could still be a father without being her spouse

But the conversations when taken from his words only are insinuating it was his first experience as well. It seems to be leading up to neither of them having control and being overwhelmed by instincts neither was prepared for...not saying any of it was okay, but it does explain a lot
FL is so worried about the original story outcome that she's really failing to see how different everything already is. Leading the Emperor on and then bailing will only cause the exact reaction and circumstances she's trying to avoid...it's not like she's actually unhappy or had a great life to go back to. IDK
