i think that yes, its true, yuki is irreplaceable: but that is the whole point of the story. Ue isn’t here to replace yuki, he’s here to be a new person in mafuyu’s life, and teach him genuine love, and he’s with him to make him a better person; that also applies to himself, ue is at his best only when he’s with him.

Iam currently on Ch25 and until now there were a few moments who were really heartbreaking (almost all were about the past of the characters) but yk it‘s a twisted manga so there is sadness but also good moments bc you can really get into the characters and know how they really feel ...soo all in one you should definitely read it (there is even an anime movie about this but it just contains the chapters 1-8)
