The art is so gorgeous and yet so expressionless. It just makes it so weird. The earlier art was a lot more expressionable
There's also a manhwa where the art is gorgeous but the expressions are literally made of cardboard boxes. If you've read that and compared this manhwa, it's light years away. Maybe that's why I never had a problem with their expression because I've seen worse lol
I don't know if we are thinking the same things but yeah I've seen worse...you know that manhwa with a gorgeous characters and the art is maintaining their poker face to look cool #－.－)

hehe this is okay tbh, i've seen those 'supposed' prettier webtoon who's style is semi-realistic but they suffer from same-face syndrome and barely expressions at all

I love the art and all but I cringe every time the mc coughs or her illness is mentioned. TB is highly contagious and it is ridiculous how chill people are around her. I know it's fiction but couldn't have the author chosen something that even during medieval time people knew not to be around. My grandfather was bedridden and had TB at one point and we had to have regular tb vaccine boosters to avoid catching it. And here is the ML, brother, sister and the whole world casually chilling with her while she is coughing blood.

I know this isn't much of a help, but the MC does mention that tuberculosis isn't contagious in the novel. Which is still ridiculous. The author could have named it something else. Like Scourge of the Blondes or Bloody Lung.
Ik she mentions its not contagious and that makes it even more ridiculous. It's a fantasy novel/manhwa, all the author needed to do is make up a name and have MC say it has similar symptoms to tb but is non contagious and no-one would have batted an eye. It's just lazy writing tbh
Is it just me or are their friends assholes? They know the ML struggles to sleep and what did they do when he's sleeping? Have a whole ass gathering next to his bed. I would have blown my lid of someone did that to me
Tbf, that's not a place for him to sleep. They did what that place is meant to be used for...then again I can see why a stranger wouldn't bother to be considerate but as his frieeendsss.......
IMO The biggest issue with the new art isn't that it doesn't hold a cantle to the old one but that the artist decided to redesign all characters and then have them turn up being all "hey Dan, haven't seen you in a while" as if the audience would know who tf that is.
And some of the design were just...bad.
The assistant manager looked like a regular nice guy that turned out to be a creep (which is so realistic tbh) then the new design just gave him the most sleezy look in a manhwa I've seen in quite a while.
I saw random bits of episodes from the anime and though that it looked cute, decided to jump straight into the manga and I am francly disappointed. I tried so hard to like Hori but she is just so toxic. I thought this was meant to be this epic love story but the main literally had to change everything about himself because she doesn't like it, hates his piercings , hates his tattoos and every second thing he does. She gets violent for no reason and it's treated as a joke.
The male lead might as well be a completely different character by the end of the manga.
Just disappointed with it. Maybe I just came in with too high of an expectation. But I honestly wouldn't give it more that a 1 star and that's only because of the art
The violence were part of the comedy that's why it's treated like a joke. Miyamura also punches his best friend a lot. As you can notice in some anime and manga, like how a guy punches a girl, throwing people outside the building, etc it's not really treated seriously because it's part of the comedy. It's been used way back. Thou I'll understand if you're sensitive about it because of personal experience. But you really don't have to take it seriously, it's kinda part of the comedy. Maybe this is just not your cup of tea. But for me, the manga is great. 1000/10.
It's deep despite having a looot of comedic scenes. Hori, for me, is not toxic. She is not that mature but have a lot of room of improvement. But well, what highschool kid is without jealousy. She's against the piercing because she knows it's Miyamura inflicting harm to himself to runaway from loneliness. I think I have to point that out because you didn't get it. I hope I didn't offend you. I just wanna explain it. The tattoos and piercings was Miyamura's sign of depression. Everytime he felt too much loneliness and emptiness, he inflicts harm to himself thru piercings and tattoos. I'm not saying every piercings and tattoos is self-harm. It's just Miyamura's way of coping up. So Hori hating is her hating getting Miyamura hurt. He have her and his friends now, he doesn't need to struggle alone anymore. That message.
The story is about Miyamura meeting Hori and friends AND slowly overcoming his mental issues.
And yes, it deserves the hype the people gives. Just please it's genre is not just romance but also comedy and slice of life. I've been reading this for years. A lot of people do. We were all waiting for a real animation because the first one sucks. I'm really glad it's getting a lot of attention now
So I'm on chapter 15 and decided to write what I've thought would happen since chapter 2.
The dad is obviously the crown Prince dude. The other one (Duke something) probably drugged the main dude (that drug the extra killer used that make people forget what happened) and wanted to f him. Somehow crown Prince saved him, not sure if he knows what the Duke dude did to MC or not.
The Duke is likely the serial killer as well and he is going after people that look like the MC. He was probably mad that his plan for the MC did not work thus going on a kill rampage
I was right. Still a lovely manhwa and the art... That's the prettiest art I've seen in a manhwa in quite a whileヾ(☆▽☆)

I know that in the last one Taesung made sure for the woman manager to see the team leader sexually assaulting him and she is meant to be talking with them both in this chapter but I can't understand what they are saying

The team leader told her it was a misunderstanding and that she doesn't have to talk about it to others. Taesung said that he was assaulted by the team leader. The woman was conflicted but at the end she called Taesung and said that she will report the team leader and testify

He just looks like a cunning character on the cover and being cunning usually involves being at least a bit smart. You know, them people who look like they should be smart and then they open their mouth and you question whether they might be a smooth brained koala in a human suit.
The character Philomena Cunk is a good example imo haha
i think he is smart (later on in story wooyeol actually admits he is smarter than he thought) but because he was reborn and had to learn how to be human again he is a little dumb
