It just hit me.
He Tian is begging his brother who he has issues with for help. And if he doesn’t get that help he’ll likely have to obey his family.
Why can’t he say no and walk away?
Because he is underage. As we’ve been saying. 15-16 at best. Maybe 17. But they’re not 18 or older.
If he was a legal adult it wouldn’t fit his character to act this vulnerable. He doesn’t listen to anyone and does whatever he wants. Hell he likes Mo and he barely listens to him.

they are literly childrenn,,,
like he is either 14 -15 rn
they r third year of middle shcool
that is like grade 9
juior highschool
at this pointthis is a coming of age story
he lives alone,, he has nightmares and trouble sleeping, he hardly has any real friends (i mean the only person he seemed familiar with was jian yi and i would not call it a close relashionship before he met mo), he doesnt get proper meals(before mo), he is very very lonely, he has issues wiht his family, he feels opressed by his background, the only adult figure that i can see actively involved in his life is probably his brother, he wants to be loved, also tehre seems to be a trauma associated with the grave (form when he visited his brothers estate),
he probably has a lot of mental struggles too u know
and he finally found someone that makes him feel secure, which helps him cope,,, and that is no,,, but he has to be separated,,, his safe place is literally being taken away form him
Its not thats he's weak or anything, itd just that he's never been in a spot to be strong to begin with so he's vulnerable, he doesn't have the power over his own life,, so he asks his brother,, who might be the only guardian figure in his life for help in his desperate state
Its soo sad poor thing
Someone give the boy a hung,, preferably mo cz id like to see some development here

So assuming his bro doesn’t or can’t help and he has to transfer he leaves for schooling not kidnapping or any weird disappearance like Jian Yi where he can’t finish his schooling. That’s not so bad . They have phones and internet. They can meet on days off (and in the future chapters they do).
And that dog situation is absolutely heart breaking. Those are years he will never get back.

I just realized He Tian made the other guys leave. They couldn’t handle how lovey dovey he was acting. ( ̄∇ ̄")
And I can’t believe Jian Yi just straight up bit Zhan’s cheek. He is getting bolder like he was in the early (adult/future) chapters. From blushing hiding his feelings to straight up pouncing him. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Here’s the timeline. People keep getting confused and spreading misinformation.
He Tian and Mo don’t fall into this because the timeline is not that important for their personal storyline (it seems) but for Zhan and Jian Yi understanding the timeline is crucial since it affects their entire relationship and it involves Jian Yi’s family background.

This is gonna be long af but I’ve reread this and analyzed it a lot. It’s impossible for them to be in HS.

This is when they are adults. Zhan lives alone while right now he lives with his family. He says Jian Yi disappeared WHEN he was in HS meaning he is no longer in HS. He disappears on the second day. So this is why they cannot be in HS right now because Jian Yi doesn’t even attend HS with them.
Some people think it’s happened already but those other kidnappings weren’t years long only a couple of days. Zhan also becomes cold after it happens and right now he’s still nice to Jian Yi. It’s also shown that Jian Yi as an adult is still finishing HS while the others either already finished it and are in University or are working. Adult He Tian has a car-right now no mention of it. Adult Mo lives alone-currently still with his mom.
I’ve yet to see a post that says they are in HS explain how they can be in HS if Jian Yi is still here. Because if they were in HS Jian Yi should be missing right now. It says he disappears on the second day for years..

Even during the bad times and the good always a fan of these two. Nothing is ever simple black and white. The layers. It’s complicated. There’s love, hate, and everything in between. And that’s what makes it so interesting and gripping.
Even if you say you hate them you’re hooked on them as much as the fans because you just can’t skip a chapter. You have to read it and see what happens. That’s the power they have.

I debated posting this but it needs to be said. Weighing in on the He Tian debate:
It’s clear the author means for it to be fanservice and taken lightly. If anything serious was to come of it it would’ve by now. She also wouldn’t do artworks on the dynamic and joke about it alongside readers if it was a serious thing. Most BL whether it’s yaoi or shounen ai has forceful characters. It’s just a popular trope whether you like it or not. It’s all fictional and if we start policing this where does it end?
Try and enjoy the story for what it is or if you can’t just read something else or focus on what you like.
Lots of people get shocked over the idea of them being minors but listen
If all the other hints that’s been said doesn’t make you believe what about this (ex Jian Yi disappearance on the second day of HS):
He Tian is begging for help from his bro (big blow to his pride-he almost never does this)
Why? Because of the transfer. But if he’s 18 or older couldn’t he just say no? Why can’t he? Likely because he is under the age of 18.
But he lives alone right? His brother likely pays for everything. All his money is likely from his family. Do we ever see him working? Does he even have a career or job? All that richness probably isn’t even his own. In the end he is a kid who everything he has comes from his family whether he hates them or not.
