The reason is , he likes this girl i think it's his friend..and she used to wear ribbon on her hair... Idk why this director ask the go to wear . just to look similar like the girl he likes..

I feel like the plot of this story is about their past. They have been in relationship for 10 years, I'm preety sure the story is focused on their past, like how they started to understand each other, they started to rely on each other because as you know their parents never accepted them. So that's why the story focus more on their past... The things that happened between them in those past 10 years of their relationship.
Maybe the story will focus more in theirs past as of now.
And the struggle they faced in those years. I love how they never give up on eachother.
