Although she's really smart, it frustrates me to watch her not doing anything. It's so frustrating whenever the emperor talks to her and she won't retaliate at least a realistic harsh reply. i would be really happy once she snaps the hell out in front of the emperor.
She already tried even with proofs and logic but the emperor will only change the subject with either "Rashta is a slave be more considerate" or "Stop being jealous".
I think Navier control over her emotion is something she has trained for watts since young so it was harder for her to break down her defenses especially with people around her. Idk maybe she wants to keep that "perfect empress" image something people considered a fault: "too cold to understand the people" accusations just because she doesn't show emotion. And is also ultimately what got her relationship with emperor strained because she expected and wanted her to show him she loved him and is jealous.

ohh you're right navier really must've had it rough. but i think it will be good for her to keep the emperor in check. based on what's happening to them right now, it's hard to believe that they're once really close as childhood friends. i just hope navier will stop tolerating those trashes and atleast plan to outsmart them. as the empress, i feel like she's still lacking when handling rashta, cause she's always 'i should not be involved with them' and unknowingly gets entangled at the end. so instead of always feigning innocence, i hope she does something ahead of time to protect herself as everyone around her always do her dirty.
She is in characters. She was raised to be in control, rule, use her head, not have mad tantrums. As an empress, she always had to be poised and calm. And this contrasts her with the silly, emotional, immoral usurper.
It's because she keeps calm, suffers with dignity, that she will eventually not just overcome this humiliation, but will end up on top. Plus she will learn, too, to express herself. It takes time to break a lifetime of 'empress cool demanor" conditioning.

As for the relationship she had with emperor I bet the strain developed with years... Idk maybe the emperor felt so ignored or is just in that phase of married couple that are tempted to go out with another girl because they feel their life has become monotone (routine eventless ) so he wanted to spice their relationship up by having her get jealous but that failed...
It was mentioned in the novel that they were very close when they were children... Even the high priest mentioned he thought they were the perfect happy royal couple for how comfortable they were with each other when they were young.
If i have to honest I prefer Navi ending with Heinley.

You're going to be very surprised when you find out the reason behind their marraige getting strained and Sovieshu getting a concubine and trust me, it isn't anything shoujo manga-like, like you're imagining. It was a very stupid reason but very realistic and believable as well. Basically, all I'll say is that there is a reason people hate Sovieshu so much apart from all the shit he's goving Navier.

i feel like the reason why most of us feel pretty uncomfy abt emiel and estelle being together is because we never really see emiel age while estelle undergone to drastic changes in 4 years. although age doesn't really matter, it's still kinda weird to see that the fl is the only one changing while the ml will just stay the way he is. also, emiel really look like an adult when fl is around 11, it's hard to believe that they only have 6year gap. we probably see emiel as an adult already from the start of the novel and so even if we expected them to be together or not it still affect the readers a negative feeling, he also reminds me of asisi (a Knight for a princess too in another novel). personally, right now i only see emiel as his older brother. honestly i would rather ship estelle and karl if only this novel didn't emphasize their brother-sister relationship haha

it's understandable since from the start, you can clearly see the line between the two of them. but it's okay to feel that too because it's your own opinion. after all, we all have different perception on how we see things :>

the fl throwed tantrums to art bcs of 'love' that pushed art to 'admit' his feelings which lead to them being like a couple but without label. it caused me to drop the novel bcs of the fl, its so childish and i feel like the fl doesn't deserve art. yes she's strong but i prefer art focusing first at the important matters. but it's only a personal opinion of mine, the novel is still really good nonetheless.
