I've finished this already but went here to re-read, and honestly, now that I'm seeing them in broader perspective, I no longer feel weirded out by Hari and Eugene. They spent, at most, 2 years of their childhood together.
Idk, I just thought I need to consider their whole relationship again without being swayed by the other people's opinion.
How about I remind you that hari grew up with her adopted siblings more than 2 yrs since this is her 2nd life, and even tho from eugene pov they grew up together only a few years, hari looks creepily similar with his biological dead sister. If you're him, would you able to kiss someone who look so much similar with your sibling, let alone marry them?
ooooh, okay, I just saw your comment. For that question, no, I don’t see myself kissing or marrying someone who looks like my sibling because that would be gross—it’s like kissing myself (I’m a twin). But I think it’s about familiarity.
Though there hasn't been any research done on males so far, there is one study that determined most girls' romantic partners tend to resemble their siblings (I said most, not all). It’s not even about incest; it’s just that you seek what you’re familiar with, what you’re comfortable with. This isn’t shades of incest; it probably just means that, like a lot of humans, his family serves as his subconscious model for normalcy.
I agree with this statement. Totally true. We either look for partners who have similar traits, personalities or beliefs as our own family, maybe a father or mother, or a sibling. As we set a standard of what we are comfortable with and what we will accept. The concept of familiarity makes a lot of sense.
But for this particular scenario, I kinda understand it and kinda don't. But then again, just because I'm not okay with it, doesn't mean I would stop anyone else from liking it/ doing it.
Lot of people marry their childhood friends whom they've grown up with as siblings. A lot of cousins in many cultures marry eachother (not saying it's right or wrong. Just stating a fact).
I guess this is just different from what we perceive to be "normal" and conventional.

She's so obnoxious ahh really! Like wtf? I know she's scared (why, btw? didn't you notice him being different from the man in your goddamn novel?) but WHY would you choose to let your child live in poverty, GOD your child worries that you're too broke to even give her a gift, and without a father (The fake husband doesn't count).
Gurl, he's obviously crazy, you made him crazy. Wtf. Make it make sense!
Maybe finish the comic then you’ll prob understand
