Guys to sort the confusion. This story was a short story part of an event with short story collection by other authors. So yes this was completed with 16 chapters. But due to popularity and being loved by fans, it was announced in July 2024 it will have side stories with 16 chapters in total as well releasing in spring. Today the author posted an illustration with the captain 3월 22일! meaning the side stories will release March 22nd 2025. So the main story is complete and did end with a cliffhanger. But luckily we're getting it continued with a side story. Hope that helps♡

I don't read as much anymore and decided to just fast/skim read. I notice when more intimate/emotional and/or those scenes that are meant give you flutters or go "OMFG" happen, one male is always face to face with DK while the other is always behind her. Which I found interest but it's weird (esp if you notice what male character is which one) because that feels like the author gonna pull other move that will start fandom drama.
People still thinking Jo is boring because he's a whole green flag when Jo the only character that's unpredictable in the story while that coward tj is the most basic ass setup motherfucker in the story that he's very predictable, yet by according to yall, is moving on, when it's still by doing what he always does, choosing the gang over Ian (AGAIN). Nineteen (sixteen) years of the same setup that little bitch couldn't do real jack for Ian (except for one incident) . Yeah sure but Jo the boring one when he's the one risking his morals just for Ian sake because Ian had no one to actually protect him when the only one he did have sent him to prison to hold him down with money, not because Ian needed. Yes tj rat ass made Ian pay for protection in prison when tj should've done it with no consequences knowing Ian struggles. The only chemistry they had is sex and nothing more and relationships take more than just sexual connection.

So if Jo does turn yellow or red he's still gonna prove that he's better than fuckface tj who only thought of greed and himself. The real slow burn and yearning is Jo and Ian, yall will deny it but yall prove they are a proper slow burn because yall constantly say they have no chemistry because its slow. That's how chemistry can work, slow and steady, of course with several bumps but the progress pay through the end.

Bragging about popularity on tiktok is not something you should cheering about when on tiktok more than half the people there admit to never reading the story. A little bit of context here, this story takes place 5 ish years after omega complex. So we would like to believe his character has improved and his ideas on love too. They even hint at him tutoring a kid in the other story. At this point the main leads in omega complex are basically married and all that.

Idk what’s going on in the comments but I read the novel and I don’t think Dohyun is that much of a red flag? Bro knows proper consent and he had tried his best to maintain proper boundaries with the uke and not overstep. After all when they met, uke was not even of legal age and Dohyun was his tutor? So of course he rejected Wooyeon?
And now that they’ve grown up, Dohyun is still maintaining boundaries and setting lines that Wooyeon can and cannot cross, which shows that Dohyun is serious in his relationships. Only once he develops feelings for Wooyeon he lets go of those walls and lines he created, which I think is valid and respectable.
Overall Dohyun treats Wooyeon very gently throughout the novel and treats him well so what’s the complaint here? My only peeve is that Wooyeon seems so much more in love than Dohyun, but that might just be because of the lack of pov from Dohyun’s side…
Wooyeon fell first, and HARDER, so it just feels a bit lackluster from Dohyun especially since Dohyun was aware of Wooyeon’s feelings the entire time.

Also another thing i noticed is that when Ian saw the change in Jo he tried to use sex as a comfort towards Jo, something Ian has done with tj, around the beginning of S1 when tj said he felt like shit and asked Ian to comfort him. But this time Jo actually pass up the "comfort" and brought up his acceptance to college instead of keeping it quiet. Little things like this seem to actually have an effect on Ian in a positive manner in communication

He has always been overshadowed and misunderstood due to his sexual nature and the BL storyline, but really, he’s such a tragically beautiful character in the sense that despite the lack of power over his life, Ian still lives for himself, and yearns for his own truth. Everything has been dictated by his circumstances. The struggle for autonomy has been a present theme in Ian’s character and TJ is in the flesh (symbolic), an inner reflection of his struggle to realizing his individuality. To live for himself and his wants. TJ in a sense is the “consciousness,” the objective or reality, better said the environment which shaped Ian. He is representative of the reality which Ian lacks control within. TJ quite literally looms over Ian like something inevitable, shaping Ian’s life, and he is Ian’s circumstances.
While Jo is the “unconscious,” the desire; being in control. Jo has always been representative and of what Ian wants: a normal, mundane life. But Jo is also Ian realizing himself and his identity outside of his circumstances. Jo who yearns for Ian, and chases after him, is symbolic of Ian’s need of finding himself.
