After witnessing the ML failing to stand up for the FL when she was disrespectfully treated by that ugly creature, I lost some respect for him. Sure, he might have been tunnel-visioned due to the doctor situation, but really? The FL has suffered so much because of this family; the least he can do is protect her. If I see her being mistreated or getting killed again because of this family, I don't know what to feel LOL.
At that point, I think it's genuinely better for her to leave this family and let them rot in their depression, rather than endure more suffering. She deserves better.
