I wouldn't exactly label that as a sex scene. He was drugged and flat out raped. I think one of the reasons Sazawa was so reluctant to make a move on Fumichi was because he had an idea of what had happened to him. Even if Fumichi couldn't remember it because of the drugs, he knew it somewhere deep in his subconscious. It's probably the main reason he had the demeanor and mannerisms of a person who had been abused for a long period of time.
I agree, and I also think that he behave like someone that have depression. He definitively should see a psychiatrist
