Unless we find out about some repeated, ongoing childhood trauma of his, which had taken place before he was 8 years old, then this is not DID.
There are many conditions he might have: like OSDD, schizophrenia, or a brain tumor (which with his nosebleeds would not suprise me), but it is not DID.

You know what? Her being the absolute doormat without backbone is one thing. He is a one big as*hole, not only for the things he's done in the past. He is also abusing is power and authority in the company.

I think in the novel it was said she was, in fact, Penelope, but was reincarnated in the "other world"/modern Korea, and then was recalled back to her original world through the game.

Yes, that is correct. She is the original Penelope. After dying so many times her soul shattered and the shattered pieces made her be reincarnated into alternate realities. One said reality was her past life in Korea, she was one of the few pieces left of the soul.
Honestly I can understand to a degree why she's so hung up. She never got a proper closure and feels her time stopped and now restarted in a way. But her not being able to move on even a bit, not after a few months - after years of him ghosting her, and now not explaining anything? That's horrible.
Still, not sure why we're all surprised. I was just re-reading this, and let's just remember how her high scholl bf who cheated on her was. She had little no no self respect then either. And it seems we're almost back to then.
