No they aren’t the same! Albeit they are both roots they each have their own health benefits (it’s often recommended not to mix the two together!) ginseng is often boosted as being really beneficial for health and the older the ginseng the better it is (also the more expensive it gets!)

No.. no.. no.. Totally different. If you pay attention, ginseng has these long roots and slimmer shape (the shape is like a human with long arms and legs). But I guess for someone not familiar, ginseng, ginger, galangal, curcuma, and turmeric might all look the same.
