I've experienced loving a broken man and I must say that it's difficult. Even though we love each other (probably too much) we broke up because it's getting toxic for both of us. I'm happy that they didn't end up like ours. I love how the author showed that you can't fix a broken person but you can help them through understanding and supporting them; holding their hands while they're on the road to salvation.
This was really heartbreakingly beautiful. I ached for both of them but especially for Dean. He grew up in a messed up place that's why there's little emotion to him. I hope his mental health will get better.
Then everyone would be happier in their lives. Societal issues would lessen too and most of all, lgbtq won't feel oppressed.
