this is way funnier than i thought it’d be. hahaha

well, i just started out (i’m on chapter 9) and i’m already super fucking annoyed with MC, lol. too early to quit, though!!!

edit: this kid is the walking definition of a selfish, greedy man-child. what a bitch, lmaoaoaoao!! piece of trash, ughhh. i’m PRAYING for some serious character development right about now. me, a nihilist, is praying!!! anyway. he must be one of the least likable MCs i’ve come across this far. i mean, he’s definitely not all bad (i would’ve stopped reading if he was; he’s just immature), but every single time i think he’s trying to do something nice for someone else, he’s really just plotting and doing things for his own personal gain. it’s frustrating, but amusing all the same. i reaaaally want to keep going (because the story itself is quite good and entertaining), but maaan, he’s making it difficult at times. his personality’s trash, but that’s okay!! it makes things somewhat more unique for a story like this, i guess…? ;_;

edit #2: i feel kinda bad for him. he’s pitiful. i just have to keep reminding myself that this dude is just like everyone else. i’m guessing many of the reasons as to why i dislike in is because i see pieces of myself in him. (and i actually detest myself, lol.) it’s alright! this realization has made things feel a lot more realistic and endurable. he’s just a person with flaws—just like everyone else. i respect that. stay strong, kid! nobody’s perfect. you can do it. :)

edit: he’s such a bad bitch, this is great. far from what i expected, but i’m definitely not disappointed! he’s so fucking cool, man. and so was his brother!!! would’ve loved to see them in action together. perhaps there’ll be a plot twist somewhere down the line where it’s revealed that he’s actually alive or something, considering we never got to see his death—nor his corpse. (as of right now, at least.) anyway, heh. i’ll try to not expect too much! wouldn’t want to end up with disappointment. i’m really excited for this, y’all.

edit #2: this shit just keeps getting better and better. the quality (both the art and the plot) keeps continuously improving as well. but bro, i’m loving these solo leveling vibes. <33 in the best way possible, though!!! it doesn’t feel copied, nor exasperated. they’re similar in some ways, but soooo different in others. i think it’s fair to say that the vibes feel somewhat similar, but they’re still incredibly different and unique next to each other. it’s quite intriguing, really. anyway, i can’t wait to keep going!

edit #3: few stories seem to have the capability to get me this hyped up. it’s literally every single chapter now. INSANE. so, so good. i just finished 105 and now i don’t know what to do with myself, lololol. how am i supposed to wait another week for the next update? FML. solo leveling is almost a week away from updating, too… should i just reread the whole thing…? maybe i ought to reread them both…??? i’m seriously shaking from the excitement at this point, sheesh. i WORSHIP stories like these. they make my normally numb and dull existence seem somewhat thrilling for a change. i’m addicted to the feeling of it!

if you guys know any similar stories, please do let me know. i’m aiming to discover new wonders each day, but it’s been getting more and more difficult as of late. this is why it’s important to keep my tags organized, sheesh… anyway. i’m super impressed by this.

edit #4: 106 chapters in and THIS IS NO JOKE, SIR!!! fucking hell, it’s so good. every chapter keeps me hooked, y’all. i should probably try to control this impulsive need to constantly update this goddamn comment… i mean, literally no one gives a shit. ughhh, send help. ;_;

haha. i initially thought that the MC was really annoying and selfish (he kinda still is in chapter 45 tbh), but things are slowly getting better and better the more i read!! i’m looking forward to his future character growth. ^^

edit: just reached chapter 75 and i’m so in love with this by now, lol. too funny.

15 chapters in and i can already tell that this is going to be an amazing story.

edit: 123 chapters in and i’m maaaad obsessed. i’m too tired to explain my thoughts at the moment, but hey, you guys will definitely be missing out on something great if you don’t check this one out. i guarantee you won’t be sorry!

edit #4: i’m adding this way up here because i’ve really changed my mind since the beginning. to put it bluntly, i simply don’t wish for my earlier notes to put anybody off this story, lol. i LOVE this. i just finished chapter 82 and i’m pretty damn obsessed at this point. it keeps growing on me the more i read! anyway, just wanted to add this real quick. this review of mine really did a 180 from back in the day when i just started reading, haha. but the show must go on!!!

i’m struggling to figure out exactly what this plot is supposed to be. i was hoping for something similar to solo leveling in both plot and quality, but i guess i shouldn’t have had such high expectations. (solo leveling is clearly SUPERIOR. in everything. lesson learned.) it just seems like homeboy’s on a vendetta to kill… uhm, everyone?? although i’m not even sure about that at this point. am i missing something crucial here??? i can’t seem to figure him out. i barely know what his personality’s like, nor what his actual intentions are. there’s so little depth at this point!!! i’m yearning for some amazing buildups and climaxes, but it doesn’t seem as though i’ll get much of either. the fights are all one-dimensional and anticlimactic as hell. i swear to f***, if this shit continues like this… i’ll be suing a bitch.

anyway, i’ll stick around for a bit and see how things unfold. i’m only on chapter 30, after all. i’m hoping for some serious character growth and ‘skills’ which will be developed gradually and realistically over time; not some shallow rewarding system where he gains skills and items without having to do anything. it seems as though he does very little to earn the rewards he ends up getting right now. this shit is all over the place, lol.

it seems as though this is merely a poorly executed attempt at a solo leveling remake. no one can beat, replace or rival sung jinwoo or his natural abilities. (CLEARLY.) well, not in this genre, at least. i suppose i should’ve figured that much beforehand, lol. i’m yet to come across one that can match SL in every aspect, and i’ve read and familiarized myself with quite a few comics within this genre at this point. i really feel like ranting about how great and complex and wonderful and captivating solo leveling is compared to everything else i’ve read up until now (which is quite a bit), but i’ll try to refrain. and even though i know one shouldn’t compare two different stories made by two different authors, i can’t help it in this case. there are way too many ‘attempted’ similarities between the two to ignore. siiigh… if you’re gonna try your hand at creating a new story based on (and clearly inspired by) an already loved and well-received novel and comic, at least make sure it’s worthwhile and not a cheap knockoff. it’s a shame, really. i can only hope that things’ll get better from here. i won’t hold my breath, though.

edit: just started chapter 50 and i’m happy to announce that things are starting to get better and a lot more cohesive in the process! i think i’m starting to make sense of most things, but there are still a few question marks left. i’m uncertain about his motives and which ‘side’ he’s on still. i’ll keep reading! things are finally starting to become exciting. i’m starting to look forward to the next chapter as soon as i finish one! that’s a great sign in my book.

edit #2: this man is so fucking sly. sheesh… and an excellent strategist at that. you go, sir!! fucking hell, i can’t decide whether i should admire him or despise him. perhaps i should settle with a little bit of both. the best of both worlds, aye? this’ll be fun. ^^

edit #3: don’t know how, when or why, but this has somehow become one of those updates i anticipate and look forward to the most. things have really gotten a lot better. can’t wait to see what’s in store for these guys! i take back most of the things i said in the beginning. i’m loving this!

i’m loving this. really creative and unpredictable, can’t wait to see what’ll happen! i mean… it’s ridiculous how freakin’ epic this is. frankly speaking, i’m borderline obsessed at this point, lol. this damn quality… it’s basically graphic novel paradise, really. y’all would be crazy not to check this out.

that shitty excuse of a review doesn’t even scratch the surface. it’s intelligent. intrinsic. COMPLEX. this is simply one of those stories which cannot be overlooked, and it certainly deserve a MUCH better review than the one i just gave you. seriously, it’s an embarrassment. there’s so, soooo much more i could say about its greatness, creativity and overall quality… but my brain’s not really “braining” these days, so i’m gonna have to take a raincheck on that. ( ‘ ❛ ֊ ❛)
