The seme is shitty but tbh I’m really happy he suffered at least a little cause 99% of the time the uke forgives them the first time they apologize. At least this guy had to land in the hospital and chase after him for months to get forgiveness. Def should have suffered more but at least there’s some kind of redemption arc for Kou and we get to see Shinobu happy, which is really all that matters lol
I love this story so so so much but it definitely confused me.
My understanding was in reality they had fought about Kunimi’s injury and running together again and then split off because he was running away.
And in his dream/coma, as an adult he was able to clearly see that Gaku had actually felt the same way for him the whole time, so the fight hits differently when they were able to embrace those feelings instead of running from them.
So when he woke up, he wanted to fix his mistake and at least tell him he loved him like he wasn’t able to before.
I hope that’s right?? It felt the most logical to me, but regardless this was adorable and an absolute favorite of mine
I don’t know whether my pee brain just didn’t process things correctly, but why did the uke think it’s such a big deal that his unrequited first love was the seme’s ex?
He said a bunch of times he was totally over him and that he knew his feelings for him were gone. Maybe he didn’t mean that and I took it too literally? Idk I guess it doesn’t matter as the problem got dealt with but if someone could explain it to me I really feel dumb lol
I think he was upset because he helped his first love with that relationship at the expense of his own feelings only to find out that the seme just regarded it as nothing. He helped put in all that effort only for it to be for naught and he didn’t even get to be with his first love. So I think it was more of a shock and the lack of communication didn’t help either.

I think some people are misreading the seme fucking someone else. It wasn’t cheating, and it wasn’t in pursuit of making the uke jealous at all, he did as the uke said. it just so happened that he found out, it was also clear the seme didn’t want him to find out because he knew he’d be upset. It was a great opportunity for them to finally communicate which was done perfectly. This didn’t ruin it at all it made it much more realistic and stand out from most yaoi attempting to do this trope and do it shitty. This was great and I love this manga and author
Also I get if you’re upset about him sleeping with other people, but understand it wasn’t him cheating or intentionally being an asshole. Everyone’s entitled to that! I personally understand why he did what he did
It seems like Kimihito is trying to grow. He wants to know fully that Takeru loves him for him and not their positions and tbh I don’t blame him. I think this is a good step for the both of them. He says at the end “now I gotta make Takeru want to be with me” so it’s not like he’s just gonna give up and move on. I think this could actually be really great for the story and Kimihito as a character. Idk that’s just me but this doesn’t seem as big of a misunderstanding to me and more of a step forward for Kimihito. Takeru hasn’t said anything either so I’m sure he’ll have his moment of growth too. This is just the start if it for the both of them
It’s on chapter 5 with the conclusion literally laid out for us and they throw in completely unneeded and unnecessary assault for what?? And I guarantee they’re still gonna be friends in the end
