No. This was one of the cases where it made sense. The problem is that the author wants there to be a misunderstanding regardless because this conversation should have resolved it but alas
this series honestly is lowkey downhill between the art change, hiatus and coming back. I think they just stalled too long then hitting with a bunch of flashbacks readers r starting to loose interest. i bought official chapters but i think ill just read from here until it gets interesting again
