Doesn't mean he didn't do some real shit (one of the victim was Chase), but at least he was cluesless about it. And yes, he can be a real asshole.

Grayson's apology was sincere, I don't know where you get the "bs" from, it was just that Chase didn't believe him.
Grayson's story was actually the first the author came up with in omegaverse, so the author trying the redeem him doesn't really apply here, that was always planned like this.

I thought his apology was thought out too I just didn’t like how the author positioned the story to kinda make chase have to forgive him or have chase misunderstand the situation.. like it make me feel icky

When I mean redeem I mean in chase’s case and story not the other universes if that makes sense..

Grayson was also a good catalyst I agree I just don’t like how chase’s feelings were a bit minimized to fit the narrative that Grayson always had his best intentions at heart…

I'm not white washing Grayson. I'm can understand that you don't like him.
He was very problematic, when it came to his "helping", which Chase was one of the biggest victims of (as children his twinsister was involved in that, too). Even if he had Chase's best intrest at heart he still hurt him, but he doesn't understands that, at least not in KMIYC. And there are other things. The alphas in zig's universe are all psychopath, and Grayson was born manifested, so... .

Through Dane he learned to understand emotions, while when he was a child his family and all the doctors they went to came to the conclusion that he was emotionless. They most likely treated him the wrong way (Ashley's way of handling his children was unusual), so he was unable to learn what he learned through Dane.

But Grayson reached a point were he himself came to the conclusion what damage he did to others, that he hurt them, especially Chase. And he decided to apologize, to everyone.

Chase was used to Grayson only mimicking emotions, and when Grayson came to apologize he was suspicious ( Josh was aware that Grayson really started to feel emotions, but was Chase?), and started to ask questions, when Grayson mentioned Dane (and Dane only wanted to make sure that Chase didn't hurt Grayson lol), Chase jumped to the conclusion that Grayson was not honest and didn't want to listen anymore.

I think that Chase really needs an honest apology to move on, if he accepts it or not that's up to Chase. And if he wants to have contact to Grayson after that, it's also up to Chase. But there was a reason why Josh wanted to kidnap Grayson.
Now he is getting that apology, but he still thinks that Grayson wants to trick him.
So it is actually necessary that Grayson convinces Chase in the future that he is honest with his apology, which he is.

I think that the author originally planned a different epilogue and that the (failed) apology was either in the main story or more likely in an extra.

Wait you’re right I re-read Kiss me if you can based on your suggestion and Grayson is actually much more than what I thought he’d be.

Plus even though his reasoning made no sense, he was always the first to think of Chase. And looking back based on how their relative died to being alpha pheromones I can see why he took drastic actions. Still doesn’t excuse it though. Also from the looks of it being with Josh helped Chase understand different perspectives so I think at the end of it he was open to connecting with Grayson

Their father ( Ashley) is alive, a senator, but he suffered brain damage and is dependent on his dominant omega partner. He like Chase had emotions, because he presented very late, but now he doesn't feel emotions, only for his partner ( they were separated for 10 years, and Ashley didn't want to release pheromones with anyone else, so he went by injections). And he always feared that one of his children would turned out like his own father. The most important lesson for his children were to release pheromones regualry and don't kill anyone. If you read Desire me if you can, you saw that he had Grayson monitored ( actually all his children), also to make sure that he really released pheromones regulary, if he went to those parties, if he released pheromones etc. So that pheromone release issue is no joke in that family.

Yep, Chase really suffered because of Grayson. Grayson really did some shit in past, but at least now he understands it. He actually went to apologize to all the persons he had hurt. Chase at that point was the last one I think, since they avoided him.
But as I said Chase still needs that apology, really talk with Grayson about it and seeing that Grayson really understands it.
That was the reason for that failed kidnapping, that Josh knew that Chase still needed that confrontation with Grayson to get some closure. At least get everything of his chest, at that time they thought that Grayson was still emotionless and most likely wouldn't understand.
And now the opportunity is there, because Grayson understands it now and really wants to apologize, it's just Chase doesn't believe him.
