Cherry Blossom they are also technically adoptive brothers, let that sink it.

First off they weren't raised together since birth in CIN
second off they were frds before the mc was adopted in CIB
Third when mc got and ml never actually spend time as a real step bother like here he was literally born in the same household and was treated like real brother will in CIN it was not the case when they were frds ml already use to like the mc before he was adopted this much common sense u yll should have to differ the situation and environment

This is why i skip side couple and always focus on the main couple . Anyways atleast they knew since they're a kid that they're not related otherwise it'll be weirder lool.

Being on the same family registry in China is not reason enough. A friend was explaining some of Chinese culture to me & said historically, it wasn't uncommon for gay couples to be "adopted" into the family as a way to have socially acceptable gay couples...to an extent. Being LGBTQ+ is dangerous in China.
The fact that they grew up together as brothers, though, is a bit...much. It's not like the stepsisters in Citrus, who didn't meet until high school as complete strangers.
You know Taeju's redemption arc makes so much sense. He is a violent thug who never loved someone (romantically) so he was hella careless with Eihyun, but he's smart enough to realize his faults and actually acknowledges, apologized and tried to fix his wrongdoings.
I mean what he did to Eihyun is unforgivable, but what do you expect from someone who kills people for a living .
