Just binge read it, so it's a good story like enjoyable but it's not great the only keeping me is the art style that is it other than that it's lacking development in the story and some parts of the system don't make sense like idk if her cooking skill is S or something cause why does everyone like that if someone could explain if it was like that would be good and the romance is just typical and so so I've been enjoying her and the dungeon and they do a good balance of all of them but the story is more like everyone is glazing the mc she's got a good skill and all but like it's not interesting that way if she's loved by everyone and doesn't face any problems including that...

I read the novel and tbh I wouldn’t consider there to be any chasing arc. In order for there to be a chase arc, the mc has to run away/leave. Which yuri will never do because he likes xinlu.
There is the arc of xinlu trying to keep yuri by his side and acting like a puppy whenever he thinks yuri is angry with him.

Yes(?) I honestly think it depends on everyone’s standards. He doesn’t change that much other than no longer getting violent with him. (This is after yuri’s contract ends in the next few chapters, and when yuri and xinlu reunite). So he’s nicer than this part, but he’s still the same red flag. He gets extremely jealous whenever he sees someone talking or being friendly with yuri (that includes his own grown niece/nephew), and gets mad often. He does get scared when yuri got mad and gets docile every time he’s afraid yuri is upset with him. He does cry at one point cause he’s afraid yuri will leave.
Just remember the passion series focuses on red flag mls who most likely won’t change much. Think of xinlu as a bratty top lmao. In this case, yuri seriously loves every part of xinlu, even the bad part. So yuri doesn’t feel that xinlu should change. When they become a couple in the extras, “they’re shown to be a happy couple where xinlu shows off his affection towards yuri.”
