It's not gonna develop into a love thing if you're worried about that. He'll probably leave after he's healed and has the reputation to be considered an insider with no issues. He's a rare mc that sticks to his goals and could care less about relationships.

Pretty sure he wanted to not go to the academy. He wanted to drop off the grid so the Patriarch would think he had died when fighting the Madam Spider monster [Forgot if that was it's name, lol]. So being in the tribe worked in his favor for the time being.
I am in agreement with it dragging, I'll just let it build up in chapters before binging through hoping we made it past or enough through the tribe arc.
this story is so refreshing. I thought it would be angsty that she would be harbouring revenge feelings or something, but instead, they ran away together. It's cute, and I love the pace; I hope there will be no drama, such as the duke will be looking for her or hunting her or the revolution people will be looking for Ian. I like the pace of the story and where it's going. Please, please, please let it stay like this
