Ok, there’s nothing we can do about The ending that tia will end up with him (you guys know). But lately, I feel like tia is getting on my nerve(this is my opinion, not yours). After coming back to the past, she had incredible determination, but after jieun appearance, she became a bit annoying. If you can read between what the author is trying to do, I feel like ruvel is protecting her, carsein too—even her faction's lords. But she is focusing on jieun instead. Thoughts guys?

I loved how headstrong she was when it first started. That's why I kept reading. But then that Korean kid came into the picture and it all just... fell a little flat for me. All of a sudden it stopped being about surviving and making sure her father stays alive and well, and it was ALL ABOUT THAT GUY THAT SHE LOVES BUT DOESN'T WANT TO LOVE BUT- like ok I get it you still want him but like... lives are at stake, Tia. Why are you mooning over the murderer idk. I think I might drop it because this thing is dragging so damn much.

If you all plan to drop it, feel free to check our Beware of the Villainess and Death is the Only Ending for the Villainess. Those two stories live up to the plot and have the best strong female characters. Tbh i drop this abandoned empress story already but sometimes i come and see if its finish and see the ending but it seems its another one of those ugh. Aristia, here you are living a second life and determined to fight for your family but all im seeing is you conflicted of your feelings AGAIN bro.... if theres any webtoon with strong female leads again pls recommend it to those who will drop it. It might make them feel better

I've read the translated novel, but it still not that far ahead. Will Riftan ever find out that maxi has been abused?

(SPOILERS AHEAD)
Not a detailed explanation and might not be 100% accurate as I only heard of this from other people who read the novel raws.
Maxi started learning magic after she found out she has the potential to be a wizard? magician? just like Ruth. Now that she is a wizard, a huge fight/war broke out that caused Maxi to overuse her magic and she almost died in war so Riftan sent Maxi back to Croix castle thinking she would be safer in Croix. Then I believe Riftan tried to go to Croix to see Maxi but the duke didn't allow him to see her. There, the duke was constantly beating Maxi inside the castle and Riftan pretty much barged into the castle and saw what happened. Riftan was really angry so he pushed the duke off the stairs (the duke was really bloody as a result) with the help of Maxi's half-sister to cover up his act and left the castle with Maxi. That's when Maxi told Riftan what she has endured in the castle.

There is no current translations of book 2 and book 1 translations are barely close to finishing but you can read a lot of spoilers from novel updates forum here:
https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/under-the-oak-tree.97759/
But be mindful most or all of them merely MTL-ed the novel so it might not be 100% accurate.

Is she going to be a damsel in distress all the time? And for goodness sake, I'm sick and tired of side character running around all the time and getting themselves into trouble and then bringing MC into it too. This scenario is so exhausted already.

This seems to be a new trend. MCs are smarter now bc otherwise the readers will lose interest and so the new way to get them into trouble is by adding a side character ( ̄へ ̄)
Also the MC technically isn’t only seven years old but a lot older, she should know that investigating stuff by herself would be a bad idea. And trying to overwhelm kidnappers is an idea even worse.
Ummm huh? What?..... Okay, so is this turning into a harem? Is he the male lead??.....
