I actually know a couple where the reverse happened. It was the girl who fell in live with the 'older (think it was 8 years) guy when she was in elementary school and said she was going to marry him. He blew her off then, but by the time they were both graduated from high school, he'd come around to her way of thinking and they got married. Think they'll be celebrating their 40th here soon.
