Last time I checked most Asian culture wore kimonos not lacey thick wool dresses. Even if it is based around Asian culture, they too had teen pregnancies.

As for the kimono I used that as a very obvious point of reference they are not in a certain time, culture that is remotely Asian. Also not everything is a fetish to some people, maybe the author themselves had a teen pregnancy and felt a certain way and wanted to give other teen girls a type of love story for them.
