I read the novel! As far as I can know Josh meant that even if Chase is handsome (where he is loved for) as he aged his handsomeness will fade away which makes his personality the only option (which is trash tho) LOL
Then Chase tried to get back to Josh by saying that will also happen to him but unlike him Josh he doesn't care (and he has a better personality LMAOOOO)
