it looks like the co worker is going to make some comments/questions to the ML and I KNOW the ML can see through her and know her and handle her nosy nastiness. He may hold his tongue because of the FL, but I hope not.
I appreciate the two chapters. I'm glad to seeing the content, that Dan is just going through hard times is not going to be a satisfying read... so it's nice to see the ML show up.. Altho it's so hard to call him that since he's the worst D*CK ever.. If he's cruel I might have to give this up till the end ...Dan's been through too much.
Well, he should have matured enough by now to take responsibility for his own feelings. It's not the ML's fault that he treated the high scholler kindly and he developed a secret crush and never confessed. The ML was being a good friend, he didn't 'poke and prod', that's some selfish blame going on there.

He developed a scheme to cause trouble in the ML's relationship.. because he's crushed on him since high school since the ML was nice and tutored him, and treated him well over the years, but always dated others...
This will be the ultimate misunderstanding now. I already think that was in the ML's character at all to treat her that way. And now it will get uglier. My first thought was, she's so proud and oblivious she might take off and I felt some glee from that.. but honestly, the body she inhabits cannot leave at all, and that's sad.. it forces her to be live with abuse from others against her and contempt from the ML... I guess it also forces the story to resolve their problems at some point.. but I was enjoying this odd, funny relationship between them..
