I love that the characters are always a revelation.. it's fun to be surprised.. So many cinnamon rolls here, it's like a cozy breakfast
but I'm getting a little tired of the FMC.. I understand what life she's had and how she found her way to survive... and how she is stunted emotionally... But she knows his family is kind, he has been nothing but kind to her.. and I feel like the author now is throwing out these half said sentences and odd behaviors to prolong the story.. and I , for one, am not going to enjoy it. It feels like backtracking to a place that had this story unique, so trying to stay in that moment.

I think it's a matter of, the FL is extremely ignorant. She was never treated with proper kindness prior to being in the family, but even then, she isn't aware that theyre so much better / do not have specific motivations behind them that she is unaware of. While she knows some miscellaneous things, she really does not know how to get along and talk with other humans... the only person she's talked to for 13+ years is herself
Well the king stuff hasn’t been resolved yet. So she cant just act like a normal person because she could die and damn his entire family too. Besides there’s too many stories where the characters immediately love and trust with no build up. This story may have a slower pacing but it’s to fully flesh out the characters and the conflict. They are complex characters.

Yes, all good points.. I agree.. But there was already some understanding and working together with her husband.. They both know she's not deranged. So for her to act like that in front of him again I find annoying. If she had said ' the walls have ears and eyes' and tore up the table, I would be all in.
He handled all his business... He told the Crispin's what was going to happen and I really thought he wouldn't take on his father so strongly... but that was so gratifying.
because she's a princess she feel entitled to her anger because Dani didn't tell her.. but she really has no right to it.. Dani had no obligation to tell her how she felt about the general, and how was she supposed to oppose a Princess in this situation ?
I believe it's because she thought Dani would have trusted her friend, the Princess, enough to share how she felt about the General before making an embarrassment of herself by proposing to the General and have her feelings rejected. She wouldn't have done so if she knew because she adores Dani and respects her even if she is a low born. The princess has a kind heart and felt hurt is the way I see it.
I agree with all you say.. I'm just saying it's misplaced anger.. A self reflective person would know that Dani had no fault in this situation and the princess's anger is really embarrassment that shouldn't be taken out on Dani.
I knew that, it was obvious... and I enjoyed fangirling over his bf, but was really happy when he got a grip and cut to the chase
