He could've taken a day off any other day or somewhere close to Seul where the gate is. But somehow he of all people (the most calculating person in the manhwa) decided to become dumb for a chapter and flew to fucking Japan.
Its not that people dont want him to have a break, it's that the whole idea and his actions arent things he would've done. Leading up to this point, everything we know about him would tell us he would never act like this. Most love romance but not with such a contrasting gener such as action. Because they inherently dont make sense together (who would think about fucking when you have literal apocalypse above your head you have to stop).
I just wish people like you would stop making it out to be something that it's not. You think most are "jelous" of the girl that is supposed to be the love interest and others are just salty because they hate romance. But the truth is you are just simplifying the argument so its in your favour so you can complain some more. Again, most dont mind those 2 geners together, most dont mind that he wanted a break (heck some were ASKING FOR IT well before this ark in the story), but majority of the people cimplaing are those that are complaining about the authors (or who ever is in charge of the story line of the manhwa) choices og implementing romance and also implementing his "break time" because everything he's done in this chapter is SOOO unlike him, most are just mad that this cheap thrick is what we are going with so we can satify the drama and find a reason as to WHY suddenly he isn't avalable in the most curtial and dangerous moment.
Again, no hate to romance (I am a sucker for it, it's one of my fav geners), but thst doesn't mean I can't see through bullshit they are trying to pull.
I haven't read the raws, so let's bet thst in next chapters when he returns, someone close to him will die and he will also be wounded or something and because of his emotions he will either:
1. Get stronger or
2. Lose his cool and get himself kn even more shit.
I just see where the production was going with this, it's such a cheap tactic to put more stakes on the line, to make more suspense and move the plot.
Have u seen the other time he's on break? He is mostly in the dungeon trying to rank up and yeah i get what u mean by he could have went any other day ,, maybe because the other days the gate wasn't that big ànd he knew he could handle it ,, and this big gate wasn't supposed to open until few more days , and he didn't realize he can't get through with the shadows until they finally managed to call him,, i get that he's seems selfish but it's just this once
He thinks it won't ended well so he wanna experience something at least once and that is at to go to the amusement park where the gate where his father last went before he disappeared,, maybe he ask hae-in because he felt bad that she confess before and don't want it to get more awkward or he finally acknowledged her but who knows
Yeahh i get why people are pissed,, he seems selfish but it's still early to judge,, but if the author straight up following the novel than there might be more romance after thiss,, that's just what i think,,
