This is honestly one of my favorite Mofan duels to read, because it really felt like an OP battle at this stage.
The prince just goes and flips shit around even w/o violence.
The emperor thought he had it all figured out and his son throws him into mayhem. Their reactions were hilarious.
These court scenes are prob some of the funnest compared to other historical webtoon.
Also poor brother, he is being openly preyed by a princess while his sister is being sneakily lured towards the predator

At this point I highly suggest reading the novel after S1 because even though S2's artwork is much more accurate storywise not at all imo.
They don't tell you who any of the characters are and at least 4 of them ARE IMPORTANT, I get they wanted to rehash the arc a bit but the arc is actually quite important too.
The s2 story telling is almost at a typical manhua level, maybe there is a limit in the total chapters or something because it just seems more like a visual novel where if you don't know the details it feels blandish
For example, a quick summary: They all actually left the tomb just taking the things on the walls and while they were camping Samuel's team sneaked away and went back to the tomb. When Dylan's team noticed and went to the tomb all of Samuel's team was dead and they had to appease the phantom so they wouldn't get killed too.
In addition Ian and Seol actually hit it off since Seol also handles mana and Ian is an even bigger pervert than they showed here

my thoughts exactly aaaah they didn't really go more in-depth with the characters starting s2 :(( the denial forest arc was really good in the novel too
I feel exactly the same. The webtoon is basically an advertisement for the novel. I see this done a lot where they basically cut most of the scenes turning it from a full course meal into an appetizer.
I think this is gonna be a lil frustrating to read because we were given the whole backstory of how far the ML was willing to go, even destroying the empire, for Even but she has no idea a and sees him as an enemy but we know that isn't the case gahh...
I still like that it wasn't a random going back in time in a flash after death narration.
I would like it more of the elf chick didn't follow him... Because it adds the burden of keeping his research a secret and stops him from doing things he wants to do how he want to do them. I don't mind the occasional partner or party but I hope it doesn't become an attached thing for the rest of the story....
