Imma prob have to read the novel from beginning, he is just so frustrating to read! He has been playing for years but has no clue about the know-how's nor does he understand the value of weapons despite having been a warrior all those years.
The frustrations has somewhat been relieved in the last few chapters but still...

Her plans are preciously backfiring, she reminds me of Cale from TCF lol
They want to enjoy the rich life but their personalities and actions contradict their desires causing people to misunderstand them ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Sorry. No. Just. No.
Pls don't compare them. Cale is smart. His plans work. He does things for a reason. He gets misunderstood and attracts people, but is mostly because of his personality.
The only thing she did was adopt the cats instead of the mc and spend her family's money. She didn't even plan on invest, but just squander. It only turns into investment because the dragon uses charm magic.
Cale at many points does save a whole lot of people. He truly ends up as a savior and not just being misunderstood into it...

That's the whole point, she bought the cats because she knew that they would bring destruction to the world because of the FL and then paid for better treatment for beastment = she is misunderstood as savior of beastmen when all she wanted was to annoy the other buyer and spend money.
Cale helped Choi Han because he wanted him to get involved with Ron and Beacrox so he wouldn't get belated and would get rid of all three at the same time = was seen as a kind gesture and began to be respected by Choi Han.
Obv they aren't the same, the plot, characters and story are diff and they have diff personalities but they both have ulterior motives and use their knowledge to gain their goal but people around them understand it in another way.

Cale and Fl are in similar situations, yes. But Cale is actually different from her. Cale wants to be rich and he knows the only way to do that is remain in his family but getting rid of any threats.
The female lead in here thinks it's a great idea to purposely ruin her reputation just so her family can boot her out and then she thinks she's going to be able to live freely while being loaded. Basically her thought process is that of a teenage girl who hasn't faced the harsh reality of independence. Once she leaves the Duke's family, she will have no money next to her name. The only reason why she was able to spend like crazy was because she used the name of the Duke. ← and this would most likely happen if she was by herself without the dragon being nearby

It's like what sais said... Cale does nothing that could harm his family and territory. He wants to live wealthy and safely and knows his family is his best shot at it. He spends a lot of money, yes, but theres a difference between spending and just wasting. What she wants is waste money without thinking. What he does is think of what he must do and doesn't mind spending as much money as needed for the objective he has.
The reason he helped Choi was simply cuz he didn't want to get beaten. And regarding what happened to his village as Cale says himself is the responsibility of the lord of the territory, aka, his family.
The same goes for Raon. He saved him because he would die caught in his fight with Choi Han. He saves and helps others because is less troublesome than letting them do it themselves and end up implicated.
The only thing she did was saving the cats so the mc wouldn't do it. Even the beast market was to trouble that rude man from the mc house. The situation is slightly similar but their attitudes are completely different. Cale doesn't act without thinking as she does. Neither expect his investments to fail.
WAIT WHAT??!
I was so into the chibi moments of the MC, ML and Serenia that the last scene left me blank.
Haha is Marshall gonna get engaged to calm the rumors?
