The Prince is seriously twisted... But I mean in a way I feel like the MC is reacting to them killing the game character that was killed off based on leading choices in a game that I feel like in a way she has tunnel vision. She is in the prelogue of the normal mode so she has leeway in asserting her survival instead of just barely getting by..
I mean I get the initial hostility penny's brothers had of her... They had just lost their sister and then their dad comes home and says "this is ur sisters replacement till we find her" but then again can you expect an orphan from the slums to stay put in such an environment and get along with society and get treated as a lady?
So it's no surprise what Penelope's character turned out to be but then you put in the MC who is already emotionally exhaustied from her own experience that she had finally escaped from in the same setting and her role gets essentially scattered everywhere so it does leave openings to change the course of her fate

Honestly the rivalry between Lucas and Ezekiel going on while Athy is struggling with her relationship with Claaude because of the memory loss and Jeannette unknowingly being the medium of all the attacks towards the both of them... That is huge toll on someone emotionally, Athy doesn't know who or what to blame for her dad's situation, she has Lucas, a childhood friend helping her bt then you have Ezekiel popping around and in a way, courting her in a tune when she needs ppl to depend on and with a rivalry it just makes things complicated
I love lily and felix thou, they are like the overprotective godparents/aunt and uncle Athy needs rn
Ahh the story premise is so interesting but the manga pace and story telling feels so rushed and wrong... Not to mention some of the translations on some of the chapters make the flow even harder to like but am glad there's a novel at least ahead of the manga
