I don't like Lamia... She has too much bravado.
She claims to become a knight and avenge Uri, while a abandoning her role as future duchess for some unjustified justice which she could gain through obtaining the title of duchess.
She says Uri will be the future Duke but neglects him, hides things from him and he is eventually a crippled puppet for his sisters self-gratification.
Aquila is also in the wrong for provoking her instead of going for things the right way... But I also get that having seen the love of his life die continuously could have messed him uo

I agree with everything you said! Uri is asked to be a Duke but she hides everything from him making him as you rightfully called "a crippled puppet." More than caring for him, she is only gratifying her wishes while making it look like she is the one sacrificing. A sacrifice so useless that it is benefitting no one.

I don't know if this is gonna make sense but the flashbacks and references and going to appear reeeallly often so it'd be good to grasp some of it.
The current Duke's real name is Hue (twin 1)
His twin brother's name was Hugo (twin 2)
Their dad took twin 2 as the heir and sold twin 1. However twin 1 possessed the true traits of the Taran bloodline so the dad took back twin 1 and made him switch with twin 2, in exchange for keeping twin 2 alive.
So the Hugo now is actually Hue (twin 1)
The real Hugo (twin 2) killed all their blood relatives and himself to save Hue (twin 1).
In order for a boy to be born in the Taran family, half siblings must have sex, which is what happened with Hugo (twin 2). He coincidentally met and fell in love with his half sister and conceived Damian.
In order to have a girl, Hue (twin 1) need to have sex with a prepared virgin. There is a precess that need to be followed before the virgin has her period and after so that she can get pregnant by someone like Hue (twin 1).
Phillip told Hue (twin 1) that they must feed a virgin Taran blood for a year but the real process is different.
Phillip is seriously fucking twisted in so many ways
They are SO in synch with each other that they don't even have to discuss things to understand each other so well, they arealy have pet names for each other ...but it seems much more realistic in having two teenagers rebel against the road map of aristocracy for the sake of their freedom and having fun doing so
I do hope it doest drag on too much tho cause then it'll become a pointless cycle to the plot
