I'm sick of all the basic blackmail to love? If you can even call it that? Stories these days where is the depth. Where is the character development. Where is the sincerity of characters. I want to feel and relate to the characters and every time I read a new story it's this same recycled plot. Forgettable, toxic, no depth, no believable love.

Your valid to your opinion.
For me it's just that I don't want to relate to any of my characters and don't care what happens to any of the character. For me stories like these are enjoyable because they're short and simple.
I've never cared for the long drawn out complicated relationship stuff (that actually one of the reason's i dont care for shoujo) because I could care less about seeing a two people slow burn over each other for 10 plus chapters. Which is what series would need to properly develop a realistic relationship.
As for the "toxicity" and blackmail aspects...most mangakas use them as conflict points. There not a whole lot of things you can do to make things interesting in romance. And while, I'm not saying mangakas should always fall back on these at the end they are effective and do the job. That being to jumpstart the couples relationship.
As for plots like sure being forgettable and lacking depth.....I think it just comes down to I don't care? Like I know that's a crappy answer but it's true. I'm fine if I forget it after a few days as it served its purpose at the time of entertaining me. Also not everything needs to be deep and meaningful to be enjoyed.
Like I said your complete valid to your opinion, but I these series have just as important a place in BL culture as the realistic, deep, relatable series do.
And lastly, I think comments like yours are received negatively because it can be perceived by other readers like your trying to convince to not like/read the story or even shame them for liking series like this one (which I'm sure is not the case). But it can come off that way.
Also you have to realize that mangaka's publish volume to volume, so the only have 5-7 chapters for their story because it's not always get a second volume. So alot of creators have to decide if they want to make a more romance based series and hope they get slated for a second volume (becuase it needs more chapter for a relationship to develop)...or a more sexual based series that doesn't necessarily need a second volume. Which is a financial decision...which many end up picking the latter because unfortunately sex sells better. Though that doesn't mean they put any less effort into creating series or that they have to be any less enjoyed.
Sorry for making read this whole thing, I hope this all made sense. And at the end of the day, like what you like and read what you want~ People are always gonna disagree haha
Have a good one~

I was heart pumping emotional during the confession years ago and now the plot has been stuck for years now I appreciate the fluff but it'd be nice if they could conclude this at some point I don't really look forward to updates anymore since it's all vague flirting and once in a while something a little more concrete
Hahaha tsundere backfire!!!! Keep falling more and more in love Ren your world is surely changing .
I NEED VOLUME TWO!!!!!!!!
