I'm going to make up my own ending because my heart cannot cope with this...

Sometime not long after the demolition, Jiaowen does manage to make his way to the US and call it a miracle or luck or fate, he finds Weijing Li. He discovers that Wei is wearing the ring around his neck, he never sold it for cash, no matter how desperate he was. They spend the next 24 years together until Wei's time, then Jiao returns to Hong Kong with the cherished memories of their life together. Sometime before his time, he visits the park that was once Kowloon and reminisce about the past. He drops the ring in the lake there as a symbolic gesture of their struggles... and their love.
And for good measure, they reunite in the afterlife.
The end.
I'm crying, y'all

True closure, especially in romantic relationships, is about facing your own negative emotions in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty.
How fortuitous it would be if life lines up in such a way to allow for the "perfect ending" (can there even ever be?) but humans and situations don't fit in boxes that way. Sometimes seeking that external closure only prolongs your own suffering and becomes a crutch or stall tactic that keeps you from doing the actual self work to move forward.
Just some real life advice after reading this chapter ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

I appreciate what you're saying.
Imho, at the point where Cain was telling his story, why did Jooin pretend to sleep? That was a good opportunity to face it storywise. However, author-nim wants to prolong the story, especially since she wanted the Yahwi "closure" first. Tbh, sometimes I feel like author-nim is as unsure as us on how this should end ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

The author has mention she purposely made Jooin realistic so if you think about it what would do in that situation? I think Jooin didn't know what to do in that exact moment especially after being drop a whole past he does not remember. It probably took him a few days to gather his thoughts seeing how messy his room became. His closure with yahwi was more simple than with Cain. Jooin was hurt by yahwi and he knew the reasons why he didn't want to stay but with Cain, he never had anything bad with him and felt like he was ruining Cain (due to Ryan call) and the only reason he was set back was because Cain didn't tell him things. Also the author already confirm the story is finished before they came back so I assume they know what they're doing. The feeling are all complex and the author is showing that

I know everyone's talking about the final chapter but I just want to appreciate how beautiful the drawings on Chapter 79 are... the bokeh, the light & shadow contrasts... what's it called, "chiaroscuro", I think? They both look especially handsome. Had me scrolling & gaping & forgetting to actually read the chapter ( ̄∇ ̄")
