I personally think it's both funny yet sad knowing that all those grown adults indulge in mocking and bullying a young child alongside their children - because they're both threatened by her existence, and because of her illegitimate status.

okay i've read the novelupdates spoilers and it seems that this story is far more complicated than I anticipated (literally left me with more questions than answers) + the manhwa is apparently skipping a lot of content too??? I'll see if i can read the novel instead since it's been translated a fair bit
Yeah, the novel was apparently crazy superfluous, with entire paragraphs that held no purpose, and a super complex plot...so the manhwa seems to have tried to thin it out and even it up a bit. From the 1st chapter, it looks like she ends up getting partnered up with a guy we haven't met yet, and did it to escape from the characters we have met. I'm really curious about the story, so I'm probably gonna read the book as well

Reading this was so bizarre, I actually had to turn off my brain for this.
The plot is literally about the ML obsessing and stalking FL and even forcing himself onto her whenever he wants, with the FL comes the realisation that she loves him - a happy (albeit strange) end. Despite the pretty illusion the ending creates, I can't help but think about how toxic the men (especially the ML) was and how normalised the act of stalking was with the characters + the fact she fell in "love" with him. n e ways.
