That’s a very good point. When Ian first thought of Jo, he saw him as a way to escape the dangerous world of gangs and crime, hoping for that ‘normal’ life he longed for. But as we see, the situation keeps getting more complicated. Now, Jo is putting everything on the line, including his family and normal life, to be with Ian, which is ironically the same thing Ian wanted to escape from in the first place. It’s like they’re both trapped in this cycle, unable to escape their pasts and what they’ve become. In a way, they are both running away from the same things, but in different ways. So the question is, can they really have that ‘normal’ life they both wanted, or is it already too late for that? It’s hard to say, but it seems like they both need to face their pasts in order to find any peace, and running away might not lead to the future they hope for.
