I love that this is so unconservative. There's casual sex, premarital sex, bisexuals, homosexuals (i'm not very sure about the lgbtq terms so pls don't eat me alive) and it is not seen as a big deal that needed to be pointed out by other characters or the author themselves. It's very subtle and casual. Reading a manhwa with actual liberated characters is refreshing. I mean i love korean artists/authors, but their conservative culture is just apparent w their works and it's sometimes not nice to see anymore.
The storytelling is just all over the place, especially the plot progression regarding the romance. I feel like the author is having a hard time jumbling the different aspects of the story and can only deal with one thing at a time. I have seen a couple of inconsistencies, and though I let it pass, it just proves that the story lacks continuation and is often repetitive. And so even if I like this very much and would love to see the couple recognize the mutual feelings, I don't think I can enjoy reading this anymore.

OMAIGAAAAAD I'M CRYING SO MUCH AND I'M HAVING GOOSEBUMPS THE WHOLE TIME. WE HAVE BEEN SO FRUSTRATED SINCE DADDY WENT ASLEEP AND NOW EVERYTHING IS RESOLVED AND WE GET TO SEE THE MOMMY AND HOLY SHIT SHE'S BEEN WATCHING OVER THEM THE WHOLE TIME AND ALSO DADDY GOT TO SPEND TIME WITH HER AGAIN AND SAY GOODBYE PROPERLY HOLE SHIT

[I'm in ch46] I don't mind her always thinking about going back. Up till now, her family back home is more important than anything else in the current world, so that's where her priorities lay (pretty sure that'd change soon) WHAT I HATE IS when she goes 'Oh no, my heart goes doki doki, did i eat sumth?' I mean come on, she's supposed to be a pragmatic woman, but why is she suddenly written of as dumb like that when it comes to love? I can see that her being swayed by emotions create cute scenes but it just ruins the character consistency. Same goes for the emperor.
It's actually not as bad as those really really bad manhwas, but maybe because I've read better examples that I became particular about this. Also had my expectations to her level-headedness since she wanted to go back home than living like someone else on a different place.
for me, i do think bina knows that she's in love with luke. it's just that she's in denial bc if she does admit that she loves him, then that would give her one more reason why she should stay which contradicts with her original goal of going back home. so in other words, she would have to choose between luke and her family.
Ooh fair enough
